Together with emissions restrictions (odours, dust, smog, "blue haze") the overall quality of the dried products is critical (colour, surface, constant humidity). Furthermore, conventional machines are maintenance, cleaning and energy intensive. In addition to the minimization of fire hazards, a high plant availability for drying systems is crucial in the wood industry.
