Wood chips - Forest chips

Remains from wood processing can be used for heat generation thanks to drying.

Residual wood, branches and twigs from wood processing are processed into wood chips and can be used after drying for a variety of functions, for example, for the generation of local heating requirements.

Wood chips contain impurities such as soil in addition to the wood. As a result, they do not burn as cleanly as pure wood chips and are primarily suitable for use in industrial combustion.

Drying reduces the residual moisture in the raw material, which leads to a better calorific value.
