Shavings produced during wood processing can be dried and processed into boards, pellets or animal bedding.
Drying of wood shavings for the production of particleboards. The belt dryer is used in conjunction with a combined heat and power (CHP) system, in which the waste heat from the power plant is used to dry the wood. This enables CO2-neutral production.
Sawdust from the production of wooden boards or other sources is processed into wood pellets. In this process, the sawdust is typically dried down to 10% water content before being pelletized.
